How do I register a Yealink T series IP phone?

Note: Below are T23G screenshots, but the setup for all of the Yealink T Series is exactly the same

1) Getting started

Detailed setup instructions can be found in the box.

Yealink phones can be powered using either the manufacturer's supplied PSU adaptor or data and power can use the LAN port 48V POE 802.3af.

2) Find out your VoIP credentials

This information can be found in your account dashboard.

To set up your VoIP account on your phone you will need your

  • SIP Username <SIP Username>
  • SIP Password <your_password>
  • Host/server: <voip_server>

3) Log into the Yealink phone’s web user interface using its IP address

To find out the IP address from the phone: Go to Menu and select Status this will then show you the IP address on the phone’s screen.

For example : 192.168.1.xxx

Navigate to this IP address from a computer, and enter the Yealink default username (admin) and password (admin) in the login page (It is recommended to change these to something secure).

4) Navigate to the Account section and enter the credentials

Once logged in, click “Account” at the top. Then enter your VoIP credentials into the relevant fields:

  • Line Active: Change to “Enabled”
  • Label: Any Text (e.g. VoIPon Talk)
  • Display Name: Any Text (e.g. Name of user)
  • Register Name: <SIP Username>
  • User Name: <SIP Username>
  • Password: <your_password>
  • Server Host: <voip_server>

Scroll to the bottom and click "Confirm."

Check the “Register Status” is "Registered"
